DIY Closet Organization

Burrrr.  It's cold outside and we've got a great, low cost DIY project that can help keep your warm winter coats easily accessible in your closets, entry way or laundry room.  There are many ways to make do it yourself closet coat rack, but I thought I would stick to some low budget and fun concepts that can function in a variety of ways - simple and stylish for a post-holiday closet organization activity.

There is a long list of things to do to prepare for a new addition to your family and it can be very easy for excitment and joy to turn into stress.  One of the best things you can do for your nursery is install baby closet organizers.  Let's face it, babies need a lot of stuff and having a place where all your baby items and clothing can be stored and organized makes a huge difference!  A baby closet organizer helps to control clutter, provide ample storage and can be less costly than popular baby storage furniture.

Getting a child to keep up closet organization can be a daunting task, but there are plenty of things than can be done to not only make it easier, but help keep it organized…by them!  Closet organization systems are not just for adults, children can greatly benefit from them as well.  Most standard closets are not suited to a child’s needs.  Whether you decide to refit the closet with new closet organization systems or just add a few child friendly components, the end result will very rewarding for both you and your little one.

Installing an extra hanging closet rod is an easy do-it-yourself solution if all you need is little more hanging space in a closet.  If the closet has a bare wall, you can add function by adding a metal or wood closet rod and increase your storage space.  If the closet has only one hanging closet pole at an elevation of 72” or higher, you can add another rod below.  A hanging closet rod can also be installed on a bedroom or laundry room wall for even more hanging space and function.
